Absence Policy

REPORTING AN ABSENCE

If your child will be absent from school, email Ivette Ortiz at [email protected] at the start of the school day. Include your child's full name and grade. Students should also email their teachers to request any work or assignments they will miss.

REQUESTING EARLY DISMISSAL

If your child needs to leave school early on their own, email Ivette Ortiz at [email protected] at the start of the school day. Include your child's full name, grade, and the time of dismissal, along with your phone number. Your child is required to sign out with Ivette Ortiz before leaving the building.

PARENT PICKUPS

If you will be picking up your child early, email Ivette Ortiz at [email protected] at the start of the school day with your child’s full name, grade, and the time of dismissal. Upon arrival, you must show ID to the security guard and both you and your child are required to sign out with Ms. Ortiz before leaving

LATE ARRIVALS

Students who arrive late must obtain a late pass from Ivette Ortiz in Room B20 before going to class.
