First Day of School!

Students meet in the gym for morning assembly which starts promptly at 8:30am.  Students should plan ahead to get to school a little early as a line generally will start to form outside the gym until the doors officially open around 8:10 am. Students will sit in the bleachers with their respective grades (9th grade, 10th grade, 11th grade, 12th grade).  

A short assembly will take place for approximately 20-25 minutes and then Freshman and Sophomore students will be dismissed to pick up their schedules and then proceed to their first period classes for morning attendance. Juniors are then dismissed, pick up schedules and also proceed to their respective first period classes.  

Seniors will stay back for an annual Principal, Dean and Counselor Message.  They will then have their schedules handed out, have attendance taken and then leave for the start of second period.  (In some cases the senior meeting ends early and then seniors proceed to their first period class for the remaining few minutes.) 

Sophomores Juniors and Seniors are familiar with this process.  Freshman students do not need to email us about the morning procedures, everything is very easy to follow as they enter the gym and as they pick up schedules.  We also have all Faculty and Support staff present to help with students who have questions about where to go or how to read their schedules.  

Any schedules students see online ARE NOT OFFICIAL SCHEDULES, we make changes to schedules and the overall classes up to the first day of school.

Welcome emails will be sent to students on Tuesday and/or Wednesday for information about the start of the school year.  

A message from the Principal will be shared as the week rounds out and ends on Friday of the first week of school.
