Summer 2024- What's Next, Juniors?!
As summer approaches, Juniors should:
- Schedule college campus visits.

- A WashU representative recently told Ms. Barnewold "there's a myth that there is nothing going on on campus during the summer. There is! Students are still there and facilities are still open." During the summer admissions representatives may have a little more time to talk with you.

- Have their Brag Sheets completed by June 30th

- The Brag Sheet is how Ms. Barnewold collects the information she needs to write a letter of recommendation to colleges. The more detail you write, the better the letter! Parents have also been sent a Brag Sheet Google Form. Thank you to those who have already completed the forms!

- Prepare your Common App essay. To help our students out, the PTA is paying the full cost of up to two PRIVATE one-on-one essay writing sessions with ATC, a tutoring company owned by former HSMSE English teacher, Rachel Stern DeJong. Your rising senior was emailed the Writing Program Sign Up.
