Senior Dues and Events

 

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians of the CLASS of 2026,

 

Congratulations on making it to senior year! This will be a busy year, but we also have many exciting and fun events planned as well. I know families are eager to learn about the costs associated with senior year. There are three major items:  

  • senior dues $270 (mandatory) 

  • senior trip $460  (optional)

  • prom $40 (optional) The PTA will sponsor the prom to make it more accessible to all of our seniors.  Students will each pay $40 to attend prom, rather than the actual cost of $120  per student.

 

If your child participates in all senior activities, the total cost will be $770.  You can pay in full (cash, money order, personal check, or bank check) or select a payment option. All checks/money orders should be made out to The High School for Math, Science and Engineering (Memo:  Child’s Name and senior item).   

 

Extremely limited financial aid will be made available in the FALL ONLY for MANDATORY DUES ONLY based on school lunch applications and available funds. If you would like to inquire about financial aid, please email me at [email protected]. The deadline for FA requests is November 1st.  No requests will be accepted after this date. We certainly welcome and greatly appreciate any donations families might be able to make to help other students facing financial hardships.  All payments and donations can be made by cashier's check or money order.  In the memo of the payment, indicate “Donation”.   

 

Please also be advised that all senior activities are a privilege, including the senior trip and prom, and can be revoked at any time if students fail to meet the NYC DOE attendance requirement, violate our drug and alcohol policy, or fail multiple classes and/or any class required for graduation.
